Samsung showed its new line of TVs at CES 2023. This year, consumers are offered quite large Micro LED and QLED models.
The new 76-inch Samsung Micro LED CX TV is the flagship device in Samsung’s 2023 TV line-up as it makes Samsung’s innovative Micro LED Display The Wall technology more accessible to consumers. It offers 23-bit black detail, a variable 240Hz refresh rate and a 2ns response time.
The Samsung Neo QLED 8K (QN900C) model is equipped with an 8K resolution panel, 14-bit image processing, a peak brightness of 4000 nits and offers more than 1000 local dimming zones. The new Neo QLED 4K TV (QN95C) features improved brightness and grayscale control, 14-bit image processing, improved dimming and slim 20mm bezels. But it lacks some of the most notable features of the 8K model.
The new 77-inch Samsung 4K OLED TV (S95C) combines Samsung Quantum Dot and OLED technologies, a response time of 0.1 ms and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. The device has a 70-watt 4.2.2-channel speaker system certified by Dolby Atmos. Gamers will be pleased with the Gaming Hub system, which offers access to game streaming services such as Nvidia GeForce Now.
Along with the new TVs, Samsung also introduced updated versions of its Freestyle and The Premiere projectors. Freestyle 2023 offers a number of improvements. For example, new use cases such as metauniverse applications are supported. The new Edge Blending technology helps users synchronize two projectors to form a single ultra-wide image. And Gaming Hub support provides access to cloud gaming services.
The Premiere 8K projector can display 150-inch images on any surface. The ultra-short-focus 8K projector offers Smart TV functions, supplemented by Dolby Atmos surround sound and support for OTT applications.
In addition, Samsung has improved the software features of its devices. For example, smart TVs will be equipped with a new Relumino mode that will help visually impaired users view content without using wearable devices. Also launched is a TV-based health monitoring service that uses a camera to measure heart rate, heart rate variability, breathing rate, oxygen saturation, and stress index. In addition, the new Samsung Telemedicine application will help users schedule telemedicine appointments from their smart TVs and undergo examinations via video conferencing without leaving the couch. Finally, Samsung’s 2023 TV lineup will offer a new Chat Together feature that will help users chat with friends in real-time while watching TV.
