Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Studios have shown the second trailer (the first – at this link) of the upcoming movie comic “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania”. The Ant-Man triquel, which will tell about the adventures of Scott Lang and his loved ones in the Quantum Dimension, officially begins the fifth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The clip introduces the Quantum Dimension in more detail, demonstrates the abilities of the supervillain Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors, the star of “Lovecraft Lands” (he also played one of the main roles in the military drama “Aerobatics”), contains several new action scenes and a lot of joints. And it also showed another unusual villain for the first time – M.O.D.O.K. (Mobile Disaster Management Agency) in its classic form. And it looks like there will be a lot of unexpected characters in the third installment of Ant-Man, including Krylar, played by Bill Murray.
At the same time, other key actors from the dilogy – Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer – will also return to their roles as Paul Rudd. The third Ant-Man film was directed by Peyton Reed, who worked on the previous two installments, and the screenplay was written by Jeff Loveness, writer and co-producer of Rick and Morty.
Plans for a third Ant-Man film were confirmed back in November 2019, but the bulk of filming didn’t begin until early 2021, with the film wrapping up in November 2021.

- The first two films about “Ant-Man” were experimental and, despite modest budgets (by Marvel standards) – $130-195 million – turned out to be quite successful. At the global box office, the first part collected $519.3 million, and the second – $622.7 million.
