James Cameron’s Avatar: The Last Airbender continues to climb, surpassing the $1.9 billion mark, making it the sixth-biggest worldwide release of all time behind Spider-Man: No Way Home, which grossed $1.916 billion.
Avatar: The Last Airbender brought in $31.1 million over the weekend in North America and is expected to bring in $38.5 million overall for the weekend, including Monday, January 16.
In total, Avatar: The Last Airbender has collected $570 million in North America, and the international total has reached $1.3 billion. After surpassing the box office of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the next bar to overcome will be Avengers: Infinity War with a box office of $2.04 billion.

Avatar 2 had another strong start at the box office, with M3GAN coming in second place with $17.9 million and an expected $21.2 million this weekend. That’s down about 40% from its opening weekend, which is great, especially for a horror film. In the world, M3GAN earned another $15.4 million, the total box office of the tape can reach $90 million.
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish took third place at the US box office with $13.4 million, Tom Hanks’ A Man Called Otto opened with $12.6 million in fourth place, and Gerard Butler’s Airplane closed top five with $10 million in its opening weekend.
