The story in the third part of “Avatar” will be told on behalf of Jake Sully’s son, Lo’ak, and the next parts of the franchise will receive new main characters. James Cameron told this in an interview with Edith Bowman. In the film “Avatar: The Path of Water” the character is played by Brittain Dalton.
“I’ll take the moment when the ‘dust clears’ to gauge what people liked and responded to the most about that part, and then I can go back and do some work [с «Аватаром 3»]Cameron said. “We can go back and tweak a few things here and there. The changes won’t be radical, but maybe the film will be tweaked a bit to emphasize what people are responding to.”
“For example, Loak really became a character that people loved,” Cameron continued. “So, I could find ways… he’s already the main character. I think it would be interesting for people to think about what will happen. Jake was our voice-over in the first and second movies, and we’ll have different narrators in each of the next movies. We will see everything through the eyes of another character. The third film is through the eyes of Lo’ak.”
The character is the middle child of Jake (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana). He is a bit hot-tempered, trying his best to live up to the authority of his older brother, Neteyam (Jamie Flutters). Perhaps the third film will develop his romantic relationship with Cyreya (aka Keery, Bailey Bass).

The collection of the second part of the franchise, “Avatar: Path of Water” is now approaching the $2 billion mark.
“Avatar: The Path of Water” has already collected $1.9 billion worldwide and continues to lead the US box office, followed by “M3GAN” and “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish”
