On January 24, the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences held a live broadcast, where guest presenters – actors Riz Ahmed and Allison Williams – named all contenders for the annual Oscar 2023 award.
Briefly about the contenders for “Oscar-2023”
- Unfortunately, the historical drama “Klondike” by Ukrainian director Maryna Er Horbach did not make it to the “Best Foreign Language Film” nomination, instead, the Danish-Ukrainian-Swedish documentary “House of Rocks” about children from Eastern Ukraine will compete for the award. - The absolute leader in the number of nominations was “Everything Everywhere All at Once” – a fantastic comedy action film with Michelle Yeoh in the lead role is nominated for an Oscar in 11 nominations, including the main award “Best Film”.
