Concern “Ukroboronprom” has reached an agreement with the Czech manufacturer of military equipment VOP CZ regarding cooperation in the field of armored vehicles. The companies signed relevant bilateral documents with a specific plan-schedule for their implementation.
The priority of cooperation is the production, repair and joint development of armored vehicles, as well as the creation of supply chains for parts and products. The agreements reached with VOP CZ are the fulfillment of the agreement on the creation of a joint defense cluster with the Czech Republic, which Ukroboronprom and the Intergovernmental Agency for Defense Cooperation (AMOS) concluded at the end of last year.
In general, the cooperation between Ukroboronprom and VOP CZ involves the production of military equipment, the development of service hubs for maintenance and repair, cooperation in the field of high technologies, in particular, the creation of joint research centers. In addition, an increase in the production of ammunition of various calibers is expected. Ammunition will be produced both at existing facilities and at newly created facilities in safe locations.
“The deepening of the partnership with the Czech Republic in the defense sector will contribute to the further integration of Ukraine into the North Atlantic Alliance’s defense industry. To date, the Concern already has a number of agreements on cooperation with more than 10 NATO member countries,” Ukroboronprom is confident.
In addition, VOP CZ specializes in military technologies, development and production of military equipment. The company works with such equipment as BMP-1, T-72 tank, BMP PANDUR II 8×8.
