The Animagrad studio (FILM.UA Group) presented the clip “Language of the Wind” for the romantic soundtrack to the much-anticipated animated film “Mavka. Forest song”, which was performed by Khrystyna Solova and Artem Pyvovarov. The premiere of the clip was prepared for February 14, also known as Valentine’s Day or Valentine’s Day.

Artem Pivovarov, who gave his voice to the main character of the cartoon Lukash, acted as the sound producer and composer of “Language of the Wind”. The text of the potential Ukrainian hit, created by Artem and Khrystyna in co-authorship, each was responsible for writing the words for their verse.

In the clip, live shots with the participation of Artem and Khrystyna in fantasy locations complement the episodes with the main characters of the cartoon Mavka and Lukash, and most of these scenes are new. Ukrainian stylist and costume designer Dzvinka Sivik created the images for the performers. Filming took place in Kyiv in January of this year in one of the pavilions of the FILM.UA film studio. Andriy Kolesnyk was the director, and Serhiy Revutskyi was the cameraman.

The second music video for another Mavchyn soundtrack “Forest Song” performed by Kristina Solova will be released soon.

The premiere of the animated film “Mavka. Forest Song” in Ukrainian cinemas is scheduled for March 2, 2023. This is a long-form Animagrad (creators of the 2018 cartoon “The Stolen Princess”) based on Lesya Ukrainka’s extravaganza drama “Forest Song”. Work on the animated film began back in 2015, and since then it has been postponed several times, and the concept and image have changed significantly when compared to early trailers and concept art. So far “Mavka. “Forest song” is involuntarily associated with famous cartoons about Disney princesses. Let’s see how well Animagrad managed to convey the Ukrainian identity and we hope that the cartoon will show itself well in the international box office and contribute to the popularization of Ukraine and the entire Ukrainian world.
