The performer of the role of Joffrey Baratheon in “Game of Thrones”, Jack Gleason, will visit Kyiv, where he will take part in several charity events and hand over a pickup for the Armed Forces, which was purchased by British volunteers.
The Irish actor will stay in Ukraine from February 15 to 18, where he plans to meet with military personnel, actors and schoolchildren. Previously, Gleason exhibited a collectible statuette of King Joffrey at the Prozorro charity auction. Sales – the money received will be used to purchase a thermal imager for the 5th separate regiment.
The auction starts on February 15 at 12:15. The initial price of the lot is 10 thousand hryvnias.
“I want to support Ukraine in its struggle for independence. Soon I will come to you for a few days, and now, supporting the initiative of my Ukrainian colleagues, I want to auction a figurine made by an artist in Los Angeles,” says the star of “Game of Thrones”.
Jack added that he would sign the statuette and try to personally hand it over to the new owner in Kyiv on February 16.
The actor will also attend a charity film intensive, where English-speaking Ukrainian actors will work on a scene from “Game of Thrones” and will meet with the wife of a Ukrainian soldier. The woman won the “Coffee with Jack” lottery, which could be entered for a minimum donation of 100 hryvnias. All the money collected will go towards the purchase of a mortar truck.
