The HBO TV channel announced the start of filming of the second season of the prequel series “Game of Thrones” – “Dragon’s House”. The company announced that filming has started at Leavesden Studios in the UK. The channel published a photo from the set, where the Iron Throne is captured, and the team members are visible in the background.
“Dragon House is back,” Ryan Condal, co-creator, showrunner and executive producer of the series, said in a statement. “We are very excited to launch with members of our original family, as well as new talent on both sides of the camera. All your favorite characters will soon be plotting at council tables, marching with their armies and fighting on their dragons. We can’t wait to share what we have.”
Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke will return to their roles in the second season.
The series “House of the Dragon” is based on the novel “Flame and Blood” by George R. R. Martin. It tells the story of the rise and fall of the Targaryens, the only family of dragon lords that survived the fall of Valyria. The action takes place 200 years before the events of the series “Game of Thrones”.
