Once every few months, HTC, once the market leader, releases a new smartphone. Lately, it only makes budget devices – no flagships. The announced Wildfire E3 Lite, the device of the lowest class, was no exception.
HTC has not been able to afford the production of powerful smartphones for a long time, the bet on specialized phone cryptocurrency didn’t work either. The only smartphones it releases from time to time are the most expensive models of the Wildfire series. After the presentation of the Wildfire E Plus in October 2022, HTC introduced the cheap phone Wildfire E3 Lite. Despite the name, it has more advanced features than the Wildfire E Plus.
Wildfire E3 Lite is equipped with a large 6.5-inch INCELL screen with HD+ resolution and a dual camera (13 MP main and 2 MP macro). The phone is also equipped with a 5 MP camera for selfies with fixed focus, face recognition and video recording in HD 720p format.

Inside the new HTC smartphone is an octa-core Unisoc SC9863 processor combined with 3/32 GB or 4/64 GB of memory. There is a side fingerprint sensor. The 5000 mAh battery provides up to 7 hours of video playback, 9 hours of gaming or 7 hours of Wi-Fi. Unlike the Wildfire E Plus, which runs Android 12 (Go Edition), the Wildfire E3 Lite is a full Android 12 smartphone.
Other features of the Wildfire E3 Lite include dual SIM support, dual LTE, a microSD card slot (up to 256GB), a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C charging port. HTC hasn’t announced when the phone will be available for purchase or how much it will cost (probably around the $130 E Plus).
