Olena Zelenska, Elon Musk and Sam Altman – Time published the list of 100 most influential personalities of 2023

Time has released the list of the most influential people of 2023, it is divided into 6 categories: artists, innovators, titans, leaders, icons and pioneers. The rating is also interesting because the winners are represented by no less interesting persons — for example, Jill Biden created the presentation for Olena Zelenska, and another Ukrainian on the list, human rights defender Oleksandra Matviychuk, was presented by Hillary Clinton.

At the same time, many representatives of the technology industry, such as CEO of Tesla and SpaceX Elon Musk, CEO of OpenAI Sam Altman, director of Elden Ring Hidetak Miyazaki, head of Disney Bob Iger and others were noted in the rating.

In the “Artists” and “Icons” categories, athletes, singers and actors were mostly recognized. The star of the series The Last Of Us Pedro Pascal, the nominee for the Oscar-2023 for his role in the movie “Banshee Inishreen”, Colin Farrell and Jennifer Coolidge were recognized as the most influential people. The latter was remembered by the audience for the role of Stifler’s mother in the comedy “American Pie”, but she gained real recognition thanks to her work in the TV series “White Lotus”. Time called Coolidge a hope for “late bloomers” – people who have achieved success already in adulthood.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and US President Joe Biden were among the political figures.

The current list includes 50 women, including two Ukrainians — the First Lady of Ukraine and a human rights activist (both of whom were included in the “Leaders” category). Jill Biden wrote about Olena Zelenska that she “did not expect to become a warrior for the people of Ukraine, but she responded to this challenge with boundless courage.”
