One of this year’s most anticipated releases on Xbox, Redfall, won’t be getting a 60 FPS performance mode at launch.
The game will be limited to 4K resolution and 30 FPS for Series X consoles, and 1440p and 30 FPS for Series S, according to the developers on Twitter.

The announcement ahead of the game’s May 2nd release is particularly disappointing. Some fans write in the comments that the shooter will be sluggish, while others say that they will not play Redfall until the update with performance mode is released.
The developers say that it will happen a little later – without specifying the exact dates.
Redfall is a first-person shooter developed by Arkane Austin and will be released by Bethesda Softworks for Microsoft Windows and Xbox Series X/S in May 2023. Set in the fictional island town of Redfall, the story follows a group of four protagonists who find themselves cut off from the outside world after a failed science experiment overruns the town with vampires. Users can play as cryptozoologist and inventor Devinder Crusley, telekinetic student Leila Allison, combat engineer Remy de la Rosa, or supernatural sniper Jacob Boyer.
Earlier, on the official website of Bethesda, it was reported that Redfall will require a constant connection to the Internet, even for the game itself. You will also need a Bethesda.net account associated with a Steam/Xbox ID.
