Asus has prepared for release a new series of ROG Phone 7 gaming smartphones. It is characterized by high-performance components (SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, LPDDR5X memory up to 16 GB and UFS 4.0 storage up to 512 GB), improved cooling system GameCool 7 gameplay. The series includes the ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate models. They have almost the same characteristics.
Asus ROG Phone 7 features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FullHD+ resolution, 165Hz refresh rate and 720Hz sensor polling rate. The peak brightness of the image reaches 1500 nits. HDR10 support is also claimed. The screen is covered with protective glass Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The ROG Phone 7 Ultimate model offers additional ROG Vision display optimization.
The smartphone has dual front-facing speakers with surround sound support, as well as AirTrigger 5 ultrasonic sensors that can be used as buttons for many games. To ensure the best performance of the device, thermal paste based on boron nitride and a cooling system with an evaporation chamber are used. For more efficient cooling, you can use an external AeroActive Cooler 7 cooler.
AeroActive Cooler 7 is included in the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate delivery kit. This model also offers a special mode of operation with improved cooling – when the cooler is connected, the air intakes are activated. Asus claims this can increase cooling efficiency by up to 20%. To top it all off, the new cooler has more blades and a built-in thermoelectric Peltier cooler. And the cooler contains an integrated subwoofer, which can improve sound transmission compared to built-in speakers.
Asus ROG Phone 7 smartphones are equipped with a triple camera. It includes a main 50-megapixel sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module and a 5-megapixel macro module. The front camera has a resolution of 32 MP. Other features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3 and a 6,000 mAh battery.
