Recently, in some Telegram and Viber channels, as well as in social networks, various announcements about promotions and raffles, allegedly held by well-known companies, began to spread. In fact, such publications are distributed by fraudsters in order to collect information about gullible people.
Today there was information about another fraudulent holiday raffle. This time it is about Christmas trees allegedly from Novaya Poshta and a well-known beverage manufacturer. It was distributed by dozens of different Telegram channels, including “Air Alarm”, “Rocket Danger”, “Kyiv Today” and many others.
The Nova Poshta company declares that it has nothing to do with this announcement. All Telegram-publics that spread this information help fraudsters to deceive people. Currently, most Telegram channels are anonymized. At the same time, they deliberately use the mention of the company as clickbait in advertising, for which they take money, and thereby mislead their subscribers.
Ukrainians should be careful, not to spread unverified information and not to trust it. All information about the shares of the “Nova Poshta” company is contained only on its official pages – website, official pages in social networks. Also, in no case should you send personal data in response to anonymous publications on the Internet.
