NVIDIA is expected to launch a more affordable version of the GeForce RTX 3050 video card equipped with 6 GB of memory. Key specifications, price and sales dates have already leaked online thanks to Chinese sources.
It is reported that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card with 6 GB of memory should compete with the Radeon RX 6750 GRE series. The device will not only receive less memory, but it will be reduced in other aspects as well. It is based on the GA107-325 GPU with 2048 CUDA cores, 512 less than the version with 8 GB of memory. The amount of GDDR6 memory is reduced to 6 GB, and the memory access bus is reduced to 96 bits. All of this should negatively affect performance. At the same time, the TGP indicator has been reduced from 130 W to 70 W.
The current version of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 with 8 GB of memory retails for around $220. The suggested retail price of the model with 6 GB of memory is expected to be $179. The official presentation should take place in February 2024.
But even before the release of the GeForce RTX 3050 with 6 GB of memory, the NVIDIA company will present several novelties within the 40 series:
- GeForce RTX 4090D – December 28, 2023;
- GeForce RTX 4070 Super ─ January 17, 2024;
- GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super – January 24, 2024;
- GeForce RTX 4080 Super ─ January 31, 2024.
