lifecell and monobank launched automatic payment of mobile communication services according to the tariff

Lifecell subscribers who are monobank customers can now set up automatic tariff payment through the payment application — if the tariff or its value changes, the amount and (or) date of the next payment are updated automatically. You can control all changes through the monobank program in the section “Mobile communication” → Lifecell automatic payment.

Updated [15:03]:As it turned out, the eSIM from lifecell must be set as the main financial number in the monobank application, otherwise the service will not appear. At the same time, the technical support of monobank informed us that they are already dealing with this issue and, perhaps, soon the option will be available for all numbers.

Updated [14:05]:It turned out that the “Lifecell Auto-Pay” service is not available in the current version of the monobank program (both on Android and iOS), and an error is displayed when referring to its activation link. We have sent inquiries to lifecell and monobank and will update as soon as we have the details.

At the beginning of the year, lifecell was the first among mobile operators to introduce the “Autopay” service by bank card in the “My lifecell” application with the possibility of connecting up to 10 numbers. And now the mobile operator is scaling it as part of expanding cooperation with monobank. As a reminder, the cooperation between lifecell and monobank began in 2021 with the launch of the debut eSIM service and has been gradually evolving since then – recently, the possibility of switching to eSIM with saving the number appeared.

How automatic payment works for the lifecell tariff in monobank

One day before the date of the planned charge-off for the service package after 20:00, an amount corresponding to the cost of the tariff and the additional amount of the account top-up (optional, if the subscriber sets it) will be withdrawn from the monobank bank account. The next automatic payment will take place after four weeks or after 30 days – according to the terms of the service package and without commission. When the subscriber re-orders the service package earlier, the date of the next payment will be automatically updated and the funds will not be withdrawn again.

How to enable and how is auto-payment different from regular auto-top-up?

Key differences of automatic payment (from automatic top-up):

●The amount of funds is reserved exclusively for the payment of the tariff and cannot be used for other purposes
payments
● Funds are debited from the card one day before the payment of the package of services
tariff
● There is no need to change the auto-pay settings when changing the tariff or it
cost, as well as when re-ordering a package of services according to the tariff.
