While the Russian occupiers carry out terrorist acts against the civilian population, Ukrainians convert their rage into donations and continue to support the defenders. According to monobank statistics, in the second year of the war there was an increase in transfers of funds for the needs of the Armed Forces.

Based on the data, the economic rear in 2023 brought 3 times more donations to the Armed Forces than last year. During the year, ordinary Ukrainians replenished the respective banks by 27.4 billion. In 2022, the amount of such fees amounted to about 8.5 billion UAH.

At the same time, there is an increase in both the number of donations and an increase in the average amount of donations by Ukrainians. Thus, the number of bank refills in 2023 reached 5.7 million, against 3 million in 2022. At the same time, the average amount of one donation increased from UAH 258. in 2022 to UAH 349. in 2023.

At the same time, in monobank, the interim results of the “Shake the Christmas tree” campaign were added. According to the bank’s co-founder Oleg Horohovskyi, almost 500,000 people have already taken part in the campaign and shook the virtual Christmas tree in the application. The final results of the campaign will be tallied on January 2, 2024.
