The occupiers do not stop and staged a new massive shelling of Ukraine with various missiles and UAVs. It will be recalled that the previous air attack took place on December 29. This time, the main goal was Kyiv.
The new massive shelling began with the use of 35 Shahed-136/131 drones from the south-eastern direction, moving to different regions of Ukraine. Air defense forces destroyed all the attack UAVs of the occupiers.
Also at night, 16 Russian Tu-95MS aircraft took off, which reached the launch line around 6:00 a.m. and launched at least 70 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles. Subsequently, Russian terrorists additionally launched 10 Kh-47M2 “Dagger” aeroballistic missiles from MiG-31K fighters. The enemy also launched 3 Kalibr missiles from the sea. 12 ballistic missiles of the Iskander-M/S-300/S-400 type were launched from the north. In addition, 4 Kh-31P anti-radar missiles were launched from Su-35 aircraft. So, according to preliminary data, the Russian invaders used at least 99 missiles of various types in this combined attack.
Ukrainian defenders of the sky ─ the Air Force and units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine ─ destroyed 72 air targets (72.7%):
- 10 Kh-47M2 “Dagger” aeroballistic missiles;
- 59 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles;
- 3 Kalibr cruise missiles.
