As part of CES 2024, AMD presents four new processors for the AM4 platform – official information about them is already known to the press. Among the new CPUs are two 8-core Ryzen 7, with and without 3D V-Cache, and two budget Ryzen 7 GT processors.
The Ryzen 7 5700X3D has 8 cores and runs at a base clock speed of 3.0GHz, which can be boosted up to 4.1GHz. The chip received 100 MB of total cache and 105 W TDP. These characteristics are reminiscent of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, which is mainly characterized by a 400 MHz higher clock frequency. This AM4 processor, which is very popular among gamers, debuted in April 2020 at a price of $449, and now costs around $359. The $249 price of the 5700X3D makes the processor attractive.
Ryzen 7 5700 without 3D V-Cache will cost $175. In addition to the lack of an additional cache, the chip is characterized by an increased base clock frequency of up to 3.7 GHz. But instead of Vermeer cores, it consists of Cezanne (without integrated graphics), which means no PCIe Gen4 support.
The two budget processors Ryzen 5 5600GT and 5500GT have 6 cores (although the slide above mistakenly calls the latter quad-core). Both processors are also built on the Cezanne crystal and have integrated Radeon graphics. AMD has set prices at $140 and $125, respectively.
AMD is preparing a “desktop” Ryzen 5 8600G Zen4 processor with Radeon 760M RDNA3 graphics at 2.8 GHz
