On the morning of January 8, Russia launched a combined missile attack on Ukrainian cities — in Kryvyi Rih, a shopping center and private houses were hit, in Zaporizhzhia the residential sector was also affected, and in Kharkiv — industrial facilities. Explosions were also heard in Khmelnytskyi and other regions, but the consequences of the attack have not yet been reported.
In the meantime, Ukrenergo stated that the missile attack “did not cause critical consequences to the energy system of Ukraine”, at the same time, 396 settlements in 4 regions were cut off due to bad weather.
With the cooling on the evening of January 7, the daily maximum consumption increased by 3.7% compared to the previous Sunday, December 31, although it now remains lower than forecast (in particular due to the morning air alert and blackouts due to bad weather).

From December 1, the technical possibility of importing electricity from Europe to Ukraine and Moldova is 1,700 MW. There is no export.
