CD Projekt Red’s new office has officially started work on the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. This was announced by the narrative director of the game, Ihor Sarzhynskyi.
First day in the Boston office! With pleasure to make my friends and officelly kickstart our Orion journey. I can be more fancy for this project and we can make it some special. 2077 was just a warm-up ????

“First day in the Boston office! So good to catch up with old friends and officially start our Orion journey. I am most excited about this project and I am confident that we can make the game something special. 2077 was just a warm-up.”
Later he added:
I also highly value working with people I know, love and trust. Space for creative vulnerability, openness and risk is where magic happens.”
Such a statement can be ambiguous. On the one hand, the start of the original Cyberpunk 2077 was not too successful, and the new game will be based on the company’s new Unreal Engine 5 engine. On the other hand, CD Projekt Red gained experience, and The Witcher 3 demonstrates that the company is really able to scale previous successful projects. And the experience of Cyberpunk 2077 model 2023 is great.
In addition to the continuation of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red will develop the fourth The Witcher game in the coming years, as well as a remake of the first “Witcher”. Apparently, at least two of these projects will be developed in parallel, albeit at different stages of progress.
Cyberpunk 2077 to receive ‘last big update’ on December 5 – developers will focus on Cyberpunk 2 and Witcher 4 after patch 2.1
