Mykhailo Fedorov, the Vice-Prime Minister for Innovation, Minister of Digital Transformation, said that the state contracted ShaBlia robotic turrets for the first time. They are designed for remote destruction of the enemy.
“ShaBlya” is a bulletproof automated system for machine guns. Thanks to remote operation, the turret saves the life and health of machine gunners. It will be recalled that the dispatch of remote combat turrets to the front was announced in the fall of 2023. And now the state began to order their production.
“Sabre” is an innovation and an example of a weapon of modern warfare. The development has moved from a startup to an established project contracted by the state,” said Mykhailo Fedorov.
It was previously reported that the ShaBlya remote-controlled turret can be installed on a car, in a trench, dugout or other place. Machine guns (7.62 mm or 12.7 mm), grenade launchers (40 mm) or other weapons can be installed on the platform and remotely hit the enemy at a distance of up to 2 km. The turret is equipped with a video camera and a thermal imager. Thanks to sensors and remote control, operators can fire from the turret while in a safe place.
“We need to seed startups and empower young entrepreneurs to create game-changing projects on the battlefield. Technologies help save the lives of our soldiers and be effective,” Mykhailo Fedorov added.
He noted that startups with developments that can change the situation on the battlefield should join the Brave1 cluster. This will make it possible to receive a grant for the development and improvement of the project.
“Ten projects of the cluster have already received state contracts, and perhaps yours is the next one. Get closer to victory with your own hands,” said Fedorov.
