monobank has crossed the mark of 8 million customers — another important milestone in the development of the project was noted in a short message by the co-founder and actual CEO of the Fintech Band developer Oleg Horohovskyi. Monobank crossed the mark of 7 million clients at the beginning of 2023, so one more year and one more million clients in the asset of perhaps the most popular payment service and at the same time one of the largest IT companies in Ukraine.

Back in the summer, monbank overtook Oschadbank in terms of the number of cards issued — in terms of the number of active cards, it is second only to the leader PrivatBank (about 26.5 million cards).

How monobank grew

It took a little more than 6 years to achieve this result of the project (the program was launched on November 22, 2017).

From April 2021, monobank added approximately 100,000 new customers every month, and this pace was maintained until the beginning of the great war. Now, a little more than 80,000 new customers choose monobank every month. The record — 33,774 new customers per day — has been held since September 2021, when an unusual Friends Day marathon with a prize draw was held. And the record for the speed of joining a new client is relatively recent — in July 2023, the record holder registered in just 99 seconds using the Diya application, which this week set its own record of 20+ million active users.

Since November, monobank has been testing a new design in the beta — it is not yet known when the public release of the updated interface will take place.
