The French confirmed their commitments at the first meeting of the Coalition of Artillery in Paris.
France will transfer 3 thousand artillery shells per month to Ukraine. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Gavrilyuk, in an interview with NV.
Commenting on the results of the first meeting of the so-called “Coalition of Artillery”, which took place in Paris, he noted that Ukraine received assurances from partners of further support. According to him, the Ukrainian delegation “reasonedly, based on the objective picture at the front and possible options for the development of the situation” voiced to the partners the needs of the Defense Forces in artillery.
“During the first meeting of the artillery coalition, important statements were made from our partners regarding further military support for Ukraine,” Gavrilyak said, recalling in particular the promise of French Armed Forces Minister Sebastien Lecornu to provide the Ukrainian army with 3,000 155-mm caliber shells every month.
In addition, France plans to produce 78 Caesar self-propelled howitzers for Ukraine within a year. Six of them should arrive in the near future.
