During the PlayStation State of Play event, Sony and Konami talked about two games in the Silent Hill series and showed their trailers.
Silent Hill: The Short Message
This is a brand new game in the Silent Hill franchise. It is a short experimental game designed to introduce newcomers to the features of the foggy city. Additionally, this pilot project helped new developers, fans of Silent Hill, get some hands-on experience with the franchise. The team also wanted to explore how social media could fit into psychological horror (the heroine uses a smartphone in the trailer).
Silent Hill: The Short Message is distributed for free via the PlayStation Store and is now available exclusively for PlayStation 5.
Silent Hill 2
Sony and Konami also unveiled a new look at the Silent Hill 2 remake currently being developed by Bloober Team. The trailer shows different locations and battles with monsters, to kill which different types of weapons are used.
Unfortunately, there is still no information about the release date of the remake of Silent Hill 2. Its development was announced in October 2022. The remake of Silent Hill 2 will be released with official Ukrainian subtitles.
