During the announcement of the Apple Vision Pro headset, the ability to use Lightroom on this device was demonstrated. However, Adobe decided not to limit itself to just an image editor and additionally launched the Firefly AI tool as a native application for Vision Pro. It allows you to generate images based on text descriptions and work with them in virtual reality.
Firefly’s new interface is said to have been “tailor-made” for VisionOS, allowing users to move and place app-generated images on real-world spaces such as walls and tables.
Firefly’s interface allows users to simply enter a text description in the prompt box at the bottom and click Generate. After that, the program will create 4 different images that can be dragged from the main program window and placed around the house as virtual posters or printouts. The created images are marked as created by AI.
Adobe plans to add “circular panoramas, 360-degree environments and more” to the Firefly app for visionOS in the future, but has not disclosed details.
Lightroom for visionOS works similarly to the iPad version. The app comes with a more intuitive and simplified interface that is easier to navigate with gestures than the more feature-rich desktop software.
