In the short month of February, we have at our disposal more than two dozen novelties that deserve attention. There will be something to watch for fans of action movies, comics, science fiction, biopics, cartoons and, of course, romantic comedies, without which no Valentine’s Day is complete. But one day she has to plunge into the real world of spy games, because the plots of her books become too close to the activities of a secret organization. When undercover spy Aiden tries to save the writer from impending danger, Ellie realizes she has entered a reality where no one is who they seem.

Jason Fuchs (“Wonder Woman”) worked on the screenplay of the film, and Matthew Vaughn, who previously worked on the Kingsman franchise, was directing. “Argyle” also gathered a stellar cast — Henry Cavill, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena, Samuel L. He also likes to plant and photograph trees. Thanks to a series of unexpected meetings, the mysterious past of the hero will gradually be revealed to the viewer.

Wim Wenders’ new work, based on a screenplay co-written with Takuma Takasaki, won the Ecumenical Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival and the Best Actor Award for Koji Yakuse. In addition, the film is nominated for an Oscar in the category “Best International Film” from Japan.

This Italian-British film, based on real events, evokes strong associations with James Mangold’s Ford v Ferrari (2019), which for some reason was translated here as “The Outsiders”. In addition, the performer of one of the main roles, Daniel Bruhl, once played a famous race car driver, namely Niki Lauda in Ron Howard’s Race (2013).

But Orion is most afraid of the dark. And when the literal embodiment of his worst fear pays a visit to the terrified boy, he must decide if he can learn to control his nightmares and become happy.

The new project of the DreamWorks Animation studio, which gave the world many wonderful cartoons, from “Shrek” to “How to Train Your Dragon”, is based on the children’s book of the same name by Emma Yarlett. This is the directorial debut of Sean Charmetz, and the screenplay for the film was written by Charlie Kaufman (Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Anomalyse).

“The Tiger’s Apprentice” is based on the children’s novel of the same name by the American writer Lawrence Yep, which was published in 2003. This story is based on ancient Chinese mythology and applies it to modern day San Francisco.

“Bosco” / Bosco

Quontay “Bosco” Adams was sentenced to 35 years in prison for possession of marijuana. But he miraculously manages to avoid such a severe punishment thanks to an elderly woman whom Adams met through an advertisement.

This somewhat strange story, which took place in real life, is based on the book “In Pursuit of Freedom” by the same Bosco. The title role was played by the young actor Aubrey Joseph, and among the rest of the cast you can see such famous names as Theo Rossi, Thomas Jane, Tyrese Gibson and Vivica A. Fox.

“If You Were the Last” / If You Were the Last

In the center of the story are two astronauts, Adam Gerrity and Jane Kuang, who are on a multi-year research mission. Everything changes the moment their relationship ceases to be professional.

This film with Anthony Mackie and Zoe Chao in the lead roles reaches the Ukrainian box office with a huge delay, instead it is appropriate for Valentine’s Day.

“Miller’s Girl” / Miller’s Girl

Jenna Ortega and Martin Freeman will appear before the audience as student Kyra Sweet and teacher Jonathan Miller, respectively. These characters enter into a complex and contradictory relationship after a creative task that a talented novice writer must complete.

“Miller’s Favorite” is the directorial and screenwriting debut of Jade Holly Bartlett, who previously only made a cameo appearance in “The Auditorium” (2016) with Ben Affleck. Principal photography took place in Cartersville, Georgia.

When the whole world has long watched “Challenge Love”, appreciated it and even forgot about it, Australian director Sophie Hyde’s film, based on the script by Katie Brand, is only now reaching the Ukrainian box office. The main roles here were played by Emma Thompson, who was nominated for this role at the Golden Globe, and Daryl McCormack. And yes, this is a case where better late than never.

The new romantic comedy from the Prime Video platform has reunited the star of “Riverdale” Camila Mendes and Archie Reno, who you could see in the series “Shadow and Bone”, the films “Morbius” and “Beer!”.

Sunny Coast is Laura Chinn’s feature film directorial and screenwriting debut. This coming-of-age story is based on Chinn’s life experiences in the early 1990s, so it’s semi-autobiographical. The main roles in the film were performed by Nico Parker, who played the role of the daughter of the main character Sarah in the hit movie “One of Us”, as well as Laura Linney and Woody Harrelson, who do not need any extra performances.

Jonathan Glazer’s new film from the A24 studio is based on the novel of the same name by the British writer Martin Amis, which tells the story of the commandant of the Auschwitz concentration camp, Rudolf Hesse. The film won the Grand Prix, the FIPRESCI Prize, the Soundtrack Award and the CST Artist-Technician Award at the Cannes Film Festival, and is also up for an Oscar in both the UK Best International Film category and the main Best Film nomination.
