The Ministry of Digital Transformation continues to try to implement public services in an electronic format. Bill No. 10380, which regulates the customs clearance of cars in Diya, was submitted to the VRU for consideration and even received the support of the Council’s Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy. Mykhailo Fedorov told about it.
The main advantage of the innovations proposed by draft law No. 10380 is that it eliminates the human factor from the customs clearance process. It is proposed to automate the process of determining the customs value of a car, from which duties are calculated. When/if the bill is passed, citizens will be able to submit an electronic customs declaration through the Diya application, and businesses through the Diya portal.
What will be changed by Bill No. 10380:
- They will create a database of the customs value of passenger cars, which will be formed by the Ministry of Statistics on the basis of customs data. There will be indicated the customs value of new passenger cars that have undergone customs clearance in Ukraine since 2007, with details: make, model, year of manufacture, type and volume of the engine.
- The entire customs clearance process will be online, and Diya will help you fill out the customs declaration by pulling up information about the car by VIN code.
It is not yet known when the people’s elected representatives will be able to consider and adopt draft law No. 10380 in the session hall.
