For the past few years, Asus has followed a strict schedule for the release of its smartphones. The Zenfone series are compact flagships, while the ROG Phone series targets gamers, offering flagship specs and larger screens. Asus is expected to launch the Zenfone 11 model soon, and this time it is likely to offer a large-screen version of the Zenfone.
A new leak based on an analysis of the ROG Phone 8 firmware update gives us our first look at the top-of-the-line Zenfone 11 Ultra. There is also an opportunity to study the render of the future device.
As the name suggests, this will be an enlarged version of the regular Zenfone 11, and in terms of design, it is very close to the ROG Phone 8 Pro, which was leaked earlier.
Many features of the Zenfone 11 Ultra are also similar to the ROG Phone 8/8 Pro. However, the refresh rate of the screen will be “only” 144 Hz against 165 Hz in the ROG Phone 8 series. The 6.78-inch AMOLED LTPO display has a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels.
It is also reported to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 built-in storage. On the rear panel there is a triple camera with a 50-megapixel main module based on the IMX890 sensor, a 32-megapixel telephoto module with 3x zoom and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module. A 32-megapixel front camera was located in the display cutout. The battery capacity is stated at 5500 mAh. 65W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging are supported.
Zenfone 11 Ultra will be available in Eternal Black, Skyline Blue, Misty Gray, Verdure Green and Desert Sienna colors.
