The Norwegian government proposes to the national parliament to order 10 more launchers and 4 fire control centers of the NASAMS air defense system from Kongsberg Defense and Aerospace (KDA). This is done in addition to the purchase of equipment that has already been transferred to Ukraine. Investments amount to NOK 3.45 billion (about $249.3 million).

NASAMS (Norwegian Advanced Surface to Air Missile System) is a mobile Norwegian anti-aircraft missile system designed to combat maneuvering targets at low and medium altitudes. It belongs to air defense systems of short-medium range and is capable of destroying UAVs, ballistic missiles, helicopters, airplanes, cruise missiles and other targets.

At the same time, Finland decided to transfer a new package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of €190 million. This is already the 22nd batch of military aid from Finland to Ukraine. The total value of defense products supplied by Finland to Ukraine reaches 1.8 billion euros.

The Finnish government has not disclosed exactly what is included in the package. However, it is reported to include funds purchased from domestic industry. At the same time, separate funding in the amount of 30 million euros will be allocated to support Ukraine.

In addition, Finland decided to participate in the artillery and sapper coalitions that operate within the framework of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine.
