After 6 years since the release of Fox’s last X-Men film, Deadpool is finally returning to the big screen – this time via the horse-riding Marvel in the studio’s first R-rated film.
From the trailer, it is not yet clear how much time has passed since the end of “Deadpool 2” and the same versions of the old Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) and his partner Vanessa (Morena Baccarin). At least it is known that the celebration of another birthday for the mercenary did not go well – the Temporal Change Management squad suddenly disrupts the celebration, and Wilson falls into a portal, accidentally capturing one of the fighters and losing his wig. After all, if you believe Matthew Macfadyen, they want to recruit Deadpool for some specific task – and it will not do without the participation of Wolverine (although, for the sake of intrigue, he is shown either from behind or in the form of a shadow).
Previously, the director of the film “X-Men: First Class” Matthew Vaughn said that “Deadpool 3” is the “shock” that can save the Marvel universe.
“Deadpool 3” is the only full-length Marvel film, which will be released in 2024. Fox owned the previous two installments, along with the entire X-Men franchise, until it was acquired by Disney in 2019 for $71.3 billion.
The film was directed by Sean Levy, who also wrote the screenplay along with Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick and Zeb Wells. The premiere in cinemas was originally scheduled for May 3, 2024, but due to the actors’ strikes, it was postponed to July 26.
The start of rental in Ukraine — a day earlier, July 25.
