The director of the company “Ukrposhta” Ihor Smilyansky announced the launch of a new project called “Ukrposhta. Pharmacy”. In fact, we are talking about the delivery of medicines through Ukrposhta, using its extensive infrastructure.

Its main goal is to make pharmacies accessible to as many people as possible, including in rural areas. This will allow people to get the necessary medicines without having to go to the district center. Medicines will be offered as part of the “Affordable Medicines” state program.

Currently, “Ukrposhta” is launching a pilot project in the Donetsk region and the border areas of the Sumy region – that is, where there are simply no pharmacies.

“And later this project will cover 100% of the territory of our country. You have seen our new lines, so we will deliver quickly and to any corner,” Smilyanskyi said.

He also added that in the future it will be possible to order medicine through Ukrposhta branches, mobile branches or postmen, even where there is no mobile connection.

Orders are currently accepted through the call center. Later, it will be possible to order online or through the program.

“Medicine delivery, by the way, will be free, the markup from the start of the project will be minimal. Below is regulated by the state,” says Ihor Smilyanskyi.

Initial investments in this project at the expense of Ukrposhta’s own funds will amount to UAH 10-15 million.
