- During the year, Ukrtelecom paid more than UAH 1.35 billion in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels, and since the beginning of the invasion, it has sent more than UAH 210 million to the needs of the Armed Forces (almost 400 Ukrtelecom employees are now protecting Ukrainian soil).
- the Russians destroyed/damaged about 260 buildings, equipment and other infrastructure, causing losses of UAH 700 million (preliminary estimate). The total destructive consequences of Russian aggression for Ukrtelecom amount to UAH 2.8 billion, which is mostly due to the economic depreciation of operating assets.
Restoration of communication and development “opticians”
- “Ukrtelecom” provides Internet services to almost 90% of the population centers of Ukraine covered by the operator’s network as of the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
- During 2023, UAH 20 million was allocated for the restoration of infrastructure, which made it possible to restore almost 430 km of optical lines and 16 km of copper communication lines, as well as the functioning of 10 regional communication hubs.
- In 2023, Ukrtelecom specialists laid almost 5.3 thousand km of fiber-optic cable — 11 thousand km of optical lines during the full-scale war. By the end of 2023, more than 2 million households in all regions of the country will have access to high-speed optical Internet.
- In 2023, Ukrtelecom increased the number of “optics” subscribers by another 15% (somewhere more than 340-350 thousand), which ensured an 18% increase in revenues in this segment. During the year, more than 150 medical and 185 educational institutions were connected to the optical infrastructure of Ukrtelecom — in total, there are now more than 1,250 and almost 1,700 across Ukraine.
