“Garfield in the movies” – a new trailer for the cartoon about the sarcastic red cat (with a bonus of Snoop Cat with the voice of Snoop Dogg)

The cartoon will be released in Ukrainian cinemas on May 1, 2024.

Garfield at the Movies follows the origin story of the popular red cat, who hates Mondays and loves climbing, first meeting his guardian John, and then an unexpected journey outside the home with his long-lost father, the street cat Victor.

Garfield was directed by Mark Dindal (Chicken Tsip, The Emperor’s Adventures) and written by David Reynolds (Finding Nemo).

In the original, Garfield is voiced by Chris Pratt, whose father is Samuel L. Jackson. Nicholas Hoult (“Jack the Giant Slayer”) will voice John, and unnamed characters will be voiced by Hannah Weddingham (“Game of Thrones”) and Brett Goldstein (“Ted Lasso”). Unexpectedly, the new trailer features Snoop Dogg’s voice performed by Snoop Cat.

In Ukrainian, the cartoon was dubbed by Volodymyr Dantes, Mykhailo Kukuyuk, Hryhoriy Herman and Anton Murafa.

The new “Garfield” is not the first from the franchise to hit the big screen. Bill Murray starred in 2004’s Garfield and its 2006 sequel, Garfield: A Tale of Two Cats.

Premiere in Ukraine – May 1, 2024.
