Microsoft and Amazon corporations are suspending access to their cloud products in the Russian Federation starting March 20. This was reported on the website of the Russian IT company Softline.
They confirmed receipt of official information from Microsoft and Amazon about stopping access to cloud products in the Russian Federation from March 20, 2024 and warned about possible functional limitations in the operation of cloud products and services from Microsoft, Amazon and Google.
“According to letters from copyright holders, from this date access to cloud products, such as (including, but not limited to): Power BI, Dynamics CRM and others will be stopped. We expect that the suspension will also affect cloud solutions that contain these products,” – the message says.
The company also noted that these restrictions in relation to Russia are provided for by the 12th package of sanctions of the European Union, which limits the supply of software for business analytics, Customer Relationship Management and other products to the Russian Federation.
“For Russian companies, this means that it will be impossible to use these products or access the data contained in them from March 20, 2024,” the message notes.
