New hand: Ukrainian Esper Hand bionic prostheses allow you to use a soldering iron and assemble drones — video Ministry of Digital

After treatment in the USA, the wounded soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Mykola, received a Ukrainian-made bionic prosthesis, Esper Hand, which allowed him to join the program of assembling drones at home. The video about how the man works was released by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

In the recording, the fighter skilfully holds and uses a soldering iron, picks up small parts with his new hand and performs other precise actions. The prosthesis functions in almost the same way as a normal limb and allows you to engage in such precise work as assembling a drone. A feature of the Esper Hand is the ability to learn. Over time, the control of the prosthesis improves, it reacts more nimbly to actions.

Before the full-scale invasion, Mykola was an ordinary electrician, he repaired power banks, lamps and other household appliances. A smart prosthesis allowed him to return to his usual work after the injury, only now he assembles drones.

At the front, Mykola was an adjuster, and then an artillery gunner in the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade. He fought in the Donetsk direction until he was wounded. A five-hour delay in evacuation resulted in the loss of a limb in January 2023.
