Timothée Chalamet signed a multi-year deal with Warner Bros. after the success of

The contract provides for Chalamet’s participation in the studio’s projects as an actor and producer.

The musical “Wonka”, in which Timothée Chalamet played the legendary chocolatier, has earned $632 million worldwide since its debut in December. While the actor returned to the big screen in late February as Paul Atreides in the second installment of Dune, the film is currently still in theaters, but has already surpassed the achievements of the first installment with $575 million at the box office.

According to Warner Bros., Chalamet became the first actor in four decades to star in two top-grossing US films in the past eight months.

As Variety points out, the success of the films and subsequent earnings will significantly enrich the actor — he earned more than $8 million for “Outside” alone.

“Over the years, we have admired not only Timothy’s dedication to his work, which is evident in the range and depth of his diverse roles, but also his unwavering desire to give 100% of his time and attention to every project at Warner Bros. and in other places,” said the statement of the CEOs of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group by Mike DeLuca and Pam Abdi. “His work on the Dune and Wonka campaigns speaks for itself.”

According to the agreement, Chalamet can make films in other places, but Warner Bros. will receive the right to be the first to undertake the financing of his potential projects.

The 28-year-old French-American actor starred in the Oscar-nominated films Call Me By Your Name, Lady Bird, Little Women and Dune, and produced Luca Guadagnino’s romantic horror film Totally and Completely » and James Mangold’s Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown (still in production).

“Working with Mike DeLuca, Pam Abdi and their teams on ‘Wonka’ and ‘Dune’ over the past few years has been a very rewarding experience,” said Chalamet. “These are executives who believe in creating real cinema, and I am very grateful for their support as an actor, producer and co-author. This partnership seems like a natural next step. Forward!”.
