According to Eurostat, the lowest hourly wages in 2023 were recorded in Bulgaria at 9.23 euros, while the highest wages were recorded in Luxembourg at 53.9 euros/hour.
Overall, the average cost of labor was estimated at €31.8/hour in the EU and €35.6 in the Eurozone.

As for estimates by industry, in industry the average hourly wage was 32.2 euros in the EU and 38.0 euros in the Eurozone, in the service sector – 31.8 euros and 34.8 euros, in construction – 28.5 and 31.9 euros respectively.
Overall, hourly labor costs increased by 5.3% in the EU and 4.8% in the Eurozone, compared to 2022. Among the EU countries, the largest wage increase was in Hungary (+17.0%), and the smallest in Denmark (+2.7%).
Meanwhile, taking into account the size of the nominal minimum wage in Ukraine of UAH 7,100, the hourly amount of minimum payments stipulated by law in our country is UAH 42.6.
