Sharp Corporation has announced a very interesting novelty – a productive Aquos R6 smartphone, which uses the Qualcomm hardware platform and the Android 11 operating system.
The developer calls the model the world’s first smartphone equipped with a camera based on a 1-inch sensor: it has 20,2 million pixels. In addition, the camera includes a ToF sensor and flash.
The device received a 6,6-inch Pro IGZO OLED WUXGA + display with a resolution of 1260 × 2730 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz. A small hole at the top of the screen houses a 12,6MP front-facing camera.
The “heart” of the smartphone is a powerful Snapdragon 888 processor with a 5G modem. The device carries 12 GB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of 128 GB. Additionally, you can install a microSD card.
The novelty has a wireless adapter Wi-Fi 802.11a / b / g / n / ac / ax. IP68 certification means protection against moisture and dust. A rechargeable battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh is responsible for power supply.
The Aquos R6 model received an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. A standard 3,5mm headphone jack is provided. There is no information about the estimated price at the moment.
