Bang & Olufsen has unveiled its first Beosound Explore Bluetooth speaker. The novelty is compact in size, and also has a degree of protection against moisture and dust according to the IP67 standard, which will allow you to use it in training in any weather or on outdoor recreation. The column body is made of aluminum. According to Bang & Olufsen, it is scratch-resistant, so you can safely take the speaker with you when traveling in your bag or attached to your backpack.
The speaker is equipped with two 1,8-inch full-range speakers, tuned for outdoor use. Thanks to the cylindrical shape of the cabinet, the original grille design and the support of True360 technology, the speaker provides reproduction of omnidirectional surround sound, as well as deep rich bass.
The top of the case houses built-in controls that provide access to play / pause, audio volume, Bluetooth pairing, and power. As with other portable speakers, two Beosound Explore speakers can be connected to the sound source for stereo music playback.
According to the company, the user can expect 27 hours of battery life at a “typical listening volume” which, according to B&O, is around 70 dB. Beosound Explore supports Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity as well as fast pairing technology from Apple, Google and Microsoft.
The Beosound Explore column went on sale in black and green for $ 199. A gray version of the device will hit the market this summer.
