Yesterday, May 19, the ban on the publication of previews of Deathloop ended: journalists from around the world shared new details of the project, including those related to the invasion mode.
Recall that the main role in the plot of Deathloop is assigned to the mercenary Colt Van, stuck in a time loop. However, gamers will have the opportunity to control the hunter Julianne, with whom it will be possible to visit the worlds of other users.
As it became known from the material The Gamer, playing for Julianne is the only way to unlock additional customization items in Deathloop for both the heroine and Colt.
Actions performed during invasions (dealing damage, surviving for a certain time) bring Julianne points, which can later be spent on unlocking weapons, skills and unique skins.
According to Deathloop director Dinga Bakaba, the heroine will unlock skills and expand her arsenal at random to “In three hours your Julianne and mine were not the same”.
Julianne’s main goal during the invasions is to kill Colt. At the same time, according to IGN journalists, players in the role of a hunter will be able to help their “victim”, in fact, turning into cooperative partners.
The release of Deathloop after the recent transfer is expected on September 14 this year on PC (Steam, Bethesda Launcher) and PS5. As it turned out from Bakaba’s interview in April, there will be no “New Game +” in the project – at least not at the launch.
