Applications for registration of GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics accelerators manufactured by Palit and Leadtek have appeared in the database of the Korean agency RRA. The published information confirms that the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti will be based on exactly the same printed circuit boards (PG133 and PG132), which are used in the production of GeForce RTX 3080 models. In addition, these applications confirmed the memory capacity of the future video card.
According to the filings, Leadtek is going to release the WinFast Hurricane model, the Palit company, in turn, has applied for the registration of the Gaming Pro model. Both companies have previously released GeForce RTX 3080 models in the same versions.
According to the portal VideoCardz, both GeForce RTX 3080 Ti outwardly will differ little from the previously presented models.
Each manufacturer uses a massive 2,5-slot cooling system with three fans in these designs. Due to the use of the same printed circuit boards, both registered models can receive two 8-pin connectors for additional power supply.
It also clearly follows from Palit’s application that GeForce RTX 3080 Ti video cards will receive 12 GB of GDDR6X memory. This is 2 GB more than the GeForce RTX 3080 model. Registration of new products with the regulator indicates an imminent release of new products.
According to the latest rumors, NVIDIA may unveil the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti as well as the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti during the opening of Computex 2021 on May 31. It was for this day that the manufacturer planned a certain event. Both cards are expected to go on sale in early June.
