Playtonic Games Studio (Yooka-Laylee series) on its official website announced that its publishing division – Playtonic Friends – will take over the production of “Relaxing golf adventure” A Little Golf Journey.
A Little Golf Journey is created by the independent Okidokico. The project was born out of OK Golf HD – an all-round improved PC version of the mobile OK Golf (the studio’s previous release).
From the original game A Little Golf Journey is distinguished not only by the name, but also by the adventure bias: the developers urge “Go on a journey and bring back color to the world”.
For A Little Golf Journey, Okidokico co-founder Charlie Goatly says the team has removed all the stressful elements of golf by replacing them. “Great views, a soothing soundtrack and a narrative layer”.
“A Little Golf Journey is the opposite of Souls games; no pressure or frustration, just a clean, relaxing experience – as deep as the user wants. “– said the head of Playtonic Games Gavin Price (Gavin Price) in a press release.
The A Little Golf Journey Steam page promises an expansive world map with over a hundred holes and ten locations, an abundance of secrets, and easy-to-learn controls.
A Little Golf Journey is currently slated for release this summer on PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch. So far, nothing has been said about a possible release of the project on other target platforms.
