It became known that Microsoft has integrated the math service Math Solver into its Edge browser. This change appeared in the beta version of Edge 91 and is likely to be available to a wide range of users of the company’s browser soon.
The Math Solver service helps users solve mathematical equations. The developers’ plan is to allow students to upload an equation image into the browser, after which Microsoft’s AI algorithm will process the image and suggest solutions to the equation. In addition, this tool allows you to enter equations manually, and also provides access to tutorials and math quizzes.
It is worth noting that the Math Solver service exists as a web application and is also available for download on Android and iOS. It may not be as popular as Wolfram Alpha, but it might be more useful for Math Solver users as the service clearly demonstrates its work. It is currently unknown what the Math Solver will look like in Edge, but the web application interface gives an idea of what to expect from this integration.
Microsoft’s blog says that the integration of Math Solver into Edge is aimed at helping students who have limited access to information sources amid the coronavirus pandemic. The tool is expected to become available with the launch of the stable version of Edge 91.
It should be noted that at the moment the innovation is at the beta testing stage, so it is possible that the developers may postpone its launch in case of any difficulties with integration.
