A number of Western resources received Intel Arc A770 and A750 discrete desktop video cards and were able to thoroughly test them. Today, at last, the information embargo was lifted, and materials with reviews of these new products appeared on many sites.
Detailed specifications of the Intel Arc A770 and A750 are shown in the following image.
And now let’s look at the brief resulting conclusions of the reviewers about these devices.
In general, reviewers note the good performance of the new video cards. In most cases, the Intel Arc A770 and A750 provide comparable performance to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060. But with some caveats. Video cards perform well in games based on the DirectX 12 or Vulkan API and with Resizable BAR technology activated. Without Resizable BAR and older DirectX 11 based games, performance drops significantly. But the test results with activated ray tracing were at a good level. Also, the performance of AV1 encoding in Arc A7 graphics cards outperforms the competition.
The new Intel Arc A770 and A750 graphics cards have a much larger GPU die than the competition. They consume noticeably more power both under load and idle. At the same time, the cooler used does a good job of dissipating heat from the components. It’s not completely silent, but quiet enough.
Additionally, reviewers note the dampness of the drivers. While writing reviews, we often encountered crashes and software-related issues that are almost unfamiliar to GeForce and Radeon users.
Reviewers attributed their relatively low cost to the advantages of new products. Priced at $289 (Arc A750) and $329 (Arc A770), Intel graphics cards offer comparable performance to the more expensive GeForce RTX 3060. At the same time, the younger model has proven itself well at 1080p, and the older version also does well at 1440p.
