News about generative artificial intelligence seems to appear every day, but this time they are not too serious, but rather fun – now a new technology will help you create Stories, or rather a background for your own image.
A new function called Backdrop was announced by the head of Meta’s generative II department, Ahmad Al-Dale, with video instructions for its use. The tool appears when you record or upload Stories, sits next to the already active icons at the top of the screen, such as text and music, and looks like a picture of a person with a rectangular frame behind it.
If you click on the icon, the background of the image will become checkered (as it happens in image editors like PhotoShop), and in the text field you will be offered to “describe the background you want to get.”
You can add anything, but you will have to take into account the ethical restrictions of the social network. In addition, the content will be tagged with the “AI Backdrop” tag.
The Backdrop tool is only available to US users.
