From a simple text request, Copilot can create an entire song, including lyrics, vocals and instrumental parts, in seconds.
Thanks to a new plugin from Suno, Microsoft’s AI chatbot Copilot will now be able to create songs. To activate the app, launch Microsoft Edge, go to copilot.microsoft.com, sign in with your Microsoft account, and click on the Suno logo.
Next, you can enter a text prompt of one or more sentences describing the desired song, and in a few seconds you will receive a ready-made result (usually a minute or two long, with a transcript of the text).
“We believe this partnership will open new horizons for creativity and entertainment, making music creation accessible to everyone,” said a message published on the Microsoft Bing blog. “This experience will begin rolling out to users today, and will continue to expand in the coming weeks.”
Other major tech companies are also testing generative AI music tools, such as Meta’s open-source AudioCraft and Google’s YouTube tool, which produces original music tracks based on singing or text prompts.
Suno offers free access and prohibits users from monetizing AI songs on YouTube or Spotify, but paying customers receive commercial rights to their music.
In the video below you can listen to one of the examples of Suno’s work.
