The iPhone manufacturer once again topped the annual ranking of corporate reputation – Microsoft and Amazon also made it into the top three.
Every year, the Fortune business magazine ranks the most “respectable” companies in the world with revenues of more than $10 billion – the full list includes 1,500 companies (1,000 from the United States and 500 from outside the states). Then the list was narrowed down to 50 after evaluating about 4,000 managers, directors and analysts in such categories as investment value, quality of management, social responsibility, etc.
In the end, Apple topped the chart again (for the 17th year in a row) with the highest scores for social responsibility, financial sustainability, innovation and global competitiveness. The Cupertino-based tech giant is followed by Microsoft and Amazon, with the former moving up to second place this year with the No. 1 position in the computer software industry, while Amazon dropped one spot but still showed leadership results in Internet services and retail. .
Meanwhile, Google’s parent company, Alphabet, came in at No. 7, climbing two places from last year’s list, while AI industry darling Nvidia had its best-ever performance to break into the top ten. The manufacturer of COVID-vaccines, Moderna, made it to the “all-star” rating for the first time, immediately taking 37th place.
Notably, despite Apple taking first place, the score of 8.19 points was lower than last year’s 8.65, GSMarena notes.
