Despite mixed reviews, the “live” adaptation of “Avatar” made it to the top ten most popular Netflix series in 92 countries.
In the week since its debut, “Avatar: The Last Airbender” has received 153.4 million hours of viewing from 21.2 million viewers, reports Geek Culture.
The series also surpassed the previous Netflix adaptation, a series about the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his friends. Van Peace garnered 18.5 million views in its first week and has been confirmed for a second season (although the creators expect 12).
Avatar: The Last Airbender received a 60% from critics and 76% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.
