Kottans launch a free Front-End course in Ukrainian – from August 1

The Ukrainian community of programmers Kottans launches a new free online Front-End course in Ukrainian. The course has two main stages: Stage0 starts on August 1st and runs until October 1st, and Stage1 starts on October 1st and runs for approximately 4 months. This course is primarily aimed at beginners and people who want to start their journey into the world of frontend. Also, the program will help deepen your knowledge of JavaScript for those who need it.

The program covers the basic topics needed to develop frontend applications:

  • Git, GitHub, Git thread
  • Linux, command line, networking basics
  • HTML, CSS
  • basic knowledge of JavaScript
  • main frontend frameworks (React)
  • basic understanding of TypeScript
  • team work practice

The course program consists of two parts – self-study and group work under the supervision of mentors. Both will be held online, however Kottans will allow training groups to be created if the opportunity arises. The first part of the course is already available on GitHub.

As for the requirements, despite the fact that the second part will also be online, only people who have successfully completed the first part and managed to join the group (approximately 30 students will be recruited) will be able to take part. That is, the earlier the first part, the higher the chances of moving to the second team stage. At the same time, it will be possible to continue to take the course on your own – video lectures will be available online.

Earlier, the charitable foundation allocated 200 grants covering 100% of the cost of the Premium package of the Front-end development course on Prometheus+ (the total cost of training is UAH 6200). The study will start on August 8 and will last for 3 months.
